He was influenced by those types and was sure the way to cure all ills of our government was to install “experts” (like Harvard, Princeton, Yale grads) into permanent positions in government positions as non-elected employees who could not easily be replaced. Hence, we ended up with bureaucracies that WROTE our laws, ENFORCED our laws and ADJUDICATED our laws. Individuals could appeal an unjust finding, but it was appealed to the same bureaucracy at the expense of the appellant.
