Republican nominee Donald Trump delivered a message of hope to Americans on the campaign trail yesterday in a major economic policy speech that ought to finally make Hillary Clinton's campaign management team break out in a cold sweat. Trump is no Ronald Reagan but some of the Gipper's legendary optimism oozed out of the candidate as he provided details of his "America First" platform that consists so far of ambitious plans for tax reform, regulatory reform, trade policy enforcement and reform, and energy reform. He urged Americans to turn away from the epic continual failures and rampant in-your-face corruption of the Obama era and embrace new leadership.
Nice to see an article that has something good to say, here on FR.
Thanks for posting.
Thank-you!
It’sd nice to have a message of hope, growth, and glory.
But if you have a message of Marxist dictatorship - and the will and the means to cheat massively at the polls - then it may take more than hope to achieve growth and glory.
Mr. Trump hit it out of the park yesterday. It is a winning message.
Trump has to take a page out of the Reagan strategy book and go over and around the media and speak directly to the people without the filters placed upon his message by the networks and other news outlets. If he has to buy air time to get his message out there then it will be money well spent.
Look for Trump to do more interviews.
It’s a winning message if the election is honest and above board.
It won’t be.
I listened to the entire speech, unfiltered, on C-SPAN Radio on my iPhone while I was out for a walk in the foothills.
Does anyone have a link to the actual plan? I can’t find it in any of the news sites.
Even those who support Mr. Trump are keeping their support quiet out of fear.
In regards to possible voter fraud, that is why organizations are now stepping up to the plate to fight and prevent it.
I very fervently hope they can keep a lid on voter fraud; the democrats are counting on it to put their candidate over - and the judges are working overtime to ban ID at the polls.
Of course the media is burying this. They can’t assail it.
When the Establishment start singing Trump praises then the election is lost. We are not there but I am concerned.
The incessant “Trump is no Reagan” pokes have become very tiresome and are a sure indicator that whoever is writing is a scumbag RINO. Nobody on earth is another Ronnie Reagan. But, given what has happened in this country during the past forty years of decline and collapse, shepherded under the Reagan-supported Boosh gang and their Marxocrat colleagues, we are likely to find that the revolutionary and bright future that is possible under an America First Trump presidency will reveal that “Reagan was no Trump”.
There is a lot about deregulation in that speech. Regulations are the heart of cronyism. The Democrats (and GOPe) have worked to destroy this country for decades; it will take decades to restore America. Anyone looking for the quick fix or a perfect answer has no idea of the true state of this world.
I support Trump’s campaign, but unless Americans turn back to the faith that built this country, we are headed for destruction. Our government is only suited for moral citizens. This was common knowledge just a couple of generations ago. Even Superman got it right: Truth and Justice are the foundations of the American Way.
The strawman of puritanical government has birthed the imposition of immorality by fiat. If the reign of Obama has proven one thing, it’s that the reprobates view liberty as their primary enemy. Dissent is not something to be discouraged; it must be eradicated with prejudice.
Though they can’t change fact, they can ensure everyone spouts the party line on pain of death. If the rulers say Unicorns exist, you’d damned well better know what color Skittles flow from their nether regions.
If Trump can slow this type of tyranny, there may be hope for future generations.
That's what's gotten him into trouble in the past.
