I lived for a few years in Tukwila, the car theft capital of the US, if not the world. And yes, I had my car stolen.

I worked at boeing at a building a couple of blocks east of Southcenter, but I think it’s called Westfield Mall or something like that now. The area has become trashed by kids that get there by bus and loiter.
