But the gay flag is perfectly ok.

Let's modify the flag.
Show the dismembered snake, and use the motto: ex uno plures
(Divide and conquer the disparate splinter groups of disaffected hate mongers which comprise the Dem coalition.)

“African Americans” are a bunch of whining crybabies. Although I wear the First Navy Jack “Don’t Tread On Me” flag on my hat, I dare some bastard to try to punish me for wearing it or dare them to try to force me to remove it. I’m still an American and haven’t fallen into one of the various tribes yet. I plan on continuing to remain an American.

Not only was it our first Navy Jack, it is our present Navy Jack...has been since 9/11/02. Of course it would not surprise me in the least if TPTB were to order a return to the 50 star Jack.

I have worn one of those for years. I got it at Quincy market in Boston.
No one has ever mentioned. I think people are really over sensitive.
I guess we shouldn’t read the bible because there are slaves in it.

In passing, I saw that wearing the Navy Jack was questioned, but affirmed. So we can check one off for the good guys.

Right wing groups should start carrying NAACP flags. By the logic of the ‘oh so silly’ that would make the “NAACP” a racist term... We’re dealing with idiots here... this could be fun.

And we should also rename all the states because they once condoned owning slaves.

“And we should also rename all the states because they once condoned owning slaves.”
By their “logic”, we should ban blacks because they started slavery in the colonies and they owned slaves.
In 1655, Anthony Johnson, a black man, sued in Virginia to enslave John Casor, a black man, thereby setting up the slave trade.

Barbara Fritchie would agree.

By this logic, I guess one dollar bills and quarters are racist because George Washington owned slaves.

Thanks FRiend. You sent me to Wikipedia. I consider every day that I don’t learn something new as being a total failure. Today, I learned something new. I love AMERICAN history.

Actually it is the Gadsden flag (coiled snake) that is at the center of this bruhaha
The Jack (extended snake) is OK......for now
The headline, "Don't Tread on Me" flag is wrong.

Complainant stated that he found the cap to be racially offensive to African Americans because the flag was designed by Christopher Gadsden, a slave trader & owner of slaves. The Declaration of Independence was written by an "owner of slaves." Is the American founding offensive to African Americans too?
