If he tried to cancel the elections (there are 51 of them), there would be an open revolt and blood in the streets—particularly in Washington D.C.
It was difficult getting people away from their comfortable lives to even attend a Tea Party rally much less participate in a revolt. I hate to say it, but the passion for freedom and democracy in this country has sadly faded.
There are a lot more takers than makers, and we have become a passive and apathetic nation. Sure, the Trump turnouts are inspiring but when was the last pro freedom demonstration in Washington DC? Despite all the malfeasance, corruption and abuse the majority of the people just don’t care, are preoccupied with other things, or believe the media’s propaganda. Revolts are so yesterday.
I doubt it.
