In this particular case, I don’t think polls matter. It’s a race about enthusiasm. Go look at photos of arenas that she was renting in the fall of 2015 for the primary period...and throughout this spring. These were arenas built for 3,000 to 4,000 people, and she rarely had more than a thousand people show up. There are various photos out there of the half-filled buildings to hear her speak.

Go look at the arenas that Trump has rented....FULL. He generates enthusiasm.

What November is about....is people showing up to vote. Bernie would have generated the enthusiasm to get people to show up....she can’t produce that kind of enthusiasm. Trump ends up with 55 to 60 percent of the vote based on this one single dynamic. Go and look at Romney or McCain....neither one ever really generated real enthusiasm (the root failure of their campaigns in the end).

...she can’t produce that kind of enthusiasm.

The conundrum for the left is that they create dependency in order to have a permanent voting base. However, the very qualities they have to cultivate in order to create that dependency include laziness and lack of motivation. Hence, they come up with schemes to register people to vote at times when they already have to do some other necessary function, like getting a driver's license. If these people are too lazy and unmotivated to take the simple steps necessary to register to vote, they are likely to be too lazy and unmotivated to go out and vote.

Piggybacking voter registration on driver's license applications helps to get them registered, and the real significance of that is that it enables the vote fraud machine. If 40% of the registered voters don't show up because they are too lazy, then the election can be decided based on fraud. This is why voter ID is so important, and why liberal judges are busy declaring voter ID laws "unconstitutional" (despite the Supreme Court having already ruled on the issue).

OTOH, in 2012 everyone said Obama could never be reelected based upon his awful record. I believe he won with about twice as many EVs than Romney.

This is why the most destructive thing FReepers can do is attend Clinton rallies, being extremely polite, position themselves where they can photograph all of each venue, take pictures showing the bad attendance, and post those pictures everywhere they can. Right know the media is covering for her by only posting narrow pictures of her and Trump taken from in front that only show the small group of people behind each.

That’s the crux of this election cycle. You can call it enthusiasm but it shows the real hope for a return to normalcy and the ending of PC BS.
