Use It or Lose It: Ohio Battles Over Cleansing Voter Registration List
PJ Media ^ | August 2, 2016 | Rod Kackley

Winning the White House has been mission impossible for Republican presidential candidates who can’t win Ohio. No GOP ticket has ever made it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue without planting a victory flag in the Buckeye State. But it is also a critical state for Democrats. None of their presidential candidates have gone to the White House without claiming victory in Ohio since 1960. […]

U.S. District Judge George C. Smith rejected a lawsuit June 29 that attempted to block the Ohio secretary of state from purging Ohio’s voter rolls of people who had not cast a ballot in the past six years unless they had updated their registration or responded to queries about their addresses. […]

“In 2015, Ohio conducted a massive purge across the state,” Andre Washington, president of the Ohio A. Philip Randolph Institute chapter, said. “In Cuyahoga County alone, approximately 40,000 individuals were unlawfully purged merely for choosing not to vote, and a disproportionate number came from low-income neighborhoods and communities of color.” …

I recall vividly Karl Rove saying, “Wait just a minute...”. This time Trump himself needs to be on air while they try to give Ohio (and Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania) to Hillary. If the GOP can’t fight for my vote I can rest assured Trump will. He should contest every 110% precinct in every state. I suspect that one can make a legal argument that ECERY VOTE from such a precinct be thrown out. Like coming led funds, once contaminated they are ALL contaminated. Let the Rats digest that one.

Pain in the butt spellchecker. What benefit is a spellchecker that needs to be spellchecked?

Photo ID seems like the best way to go.

If John Smith is registered to vote, and a guy shows up and says “I’m John Smith” and he has a photo ID that looks like him and belongs to John Smith, then he can vote.

Otherwise, No.

Voter ID and Purple Fingers are the answer.

Not surprisingly the majority of registered voters who had not voted in the past six years came from Democrat communities.

Voter ID and Purple Fingers are the answer.

To a point. An example, I live in and am registered to vote in Ohio. I winter in Fl, and am registered to vote.

What prohibits me from voting absentee in Ohio and at the polls in FL? And that goes for folks in NY, MN, MI, and the entire Northern tier that winter in FL, TX, AZ etc, etc.

Remember when Joy Behar of The View was telling the audience of NY snow birds about scheduled flights between NYC and Florida, implying that voting twice was a good thing in service to the D-party?

Remember Melowese Richardson?? She was a Democrat Employee, a precinct chair I believe, who voted in three elections multiple times. She said it was her duty to vote in Obama. The other election was the congressional elections imbetween. It took six years to find her, and convict.

The Republican governor at the time pardoned her after only 4 months in the slammer!! Then she was feted by Al Sharpton at a Democratic voter registration party. Celebrated!! That is what the Democrat Party is all about.

Nothing. In fact, I voted in OH’s presidential primary, then moved to AZ, and will vote in AZ’s senate primary! But I’m registered.

The last time I heard a figure, some years ago, it was said that Americans moved, on average, every six years. And others die. As anyone working with direct mail or telephone lists well knows, any list that is more than two years old is garbage. Democrats, however, regularly vote garbage. That is why they oppose purging the voter roles.

We should simply discontinue use of the word "purge" and substitute "update" or "correct" to make the point clear.

The commie Rats know the Queen of Corruption can’t win without massive election fraud.

Good for Ohio. Here is hoping most battleground states have done the same and purged their rolls of the dead, illegals, and ex-residents.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I am definitely up with purple fingers. That wouldn’t stop the fraud though. You can always find people that can’t vote, like ex-cons and illegals, to go to the polls and use the name of someone dead or someone who moved out of state in the meantime.

How many college students are voting absentee from their parents addresses & voting in person at the college location?

Absentee voting should be very carefully monitored.

Also- The Dems like to stall sending info & ballots to our military all around the world. Gore wanted to INVALIDATE every single military voter!!! You can carry a gun-—die for the country-—but you cannot vote, in Gore’s world.

As long as there is a registration in place, the Democrats can find some illegal to show up and “vote” it. A clean-up reduces their options.

Well, you moved so you apparently aren’t actively attempting to vote regularly in two different states unlike snowbird democrats who have ample opportunity to do that at least for the general election in Nov. To be fair so do snowbird Republicans who I would suggest out of fair play, ethics, and general honesty would be less likely to play the game of vote and vote often.
