But this report about France and terrorism cannot be right. (sarc) That’s because years ago Obama declared that global war on terror is over.

No wonder DJT is gaining ground, despite what old msm is trying to derail his campaign.

Here's the article I talked about in my post #18. It's a police reserve, not a civil guard.

We're sorry but Europe is down indefinitely for maintenance.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Terror Alert Level for France has gone from Arrogance (green) to Run (blue).

On a trip about ten years ago,we went from Normandy into Paris. I’d wanted to go to the flea market at St Owen. We pulled up and it looked like a Riyadh gold market. Which wasn’t necessarily bad but it was France, not Saudi Arabia. We didn’t stop, went to hotel. Toured. Sacre Coeur Church was like a museum for Muslim tourists.

Anyway, the St Owen district was lit up in flames two weeks later. The youths had lit many cars on fire

I could’ve told them then, but they didn’t ask me

Many years later now, as predicted, France will start shutting down. Keep that birth control going, right?

My cousins and I were talking last week on the beach about travel. We’d been to Colmar and the vineyard road. Let’s all go on a big bike ride in France.

Sure. Later, over ice cream, I said yeah, no. It’s not going to happen. Let’s talk about Ireland. It’s still good

If France had something like a 2nd amendment... this might be a whale of a lot less of a problem.

Traditional flea market in Lille, gone.

Annual bike race in Nice, gone.

Public sense of security and safety, gone.

The Islamists are changing France.

The Islamists are a murderous plague on Europe.

The Islamists are a murderous plague on the human race.

Lily, not trying to be mean, but open or concealed carry is not going to matter much. A smaller armed force can destroy, decimate or otherwise scatter a larger armed force if it has ambushed from a superior position.

Case in point, one motivated guy with a rifle shot over a dozen openly carrying police officers in Dallas who were on heightened alert.

He had the advantage of weapon type, surprise, cover and concealment and height.

The Texas University Tower shooter, Whitman, shot most of his targets in the first few minutes and even though some citizens got their own rifles and shot back this only confined him to one corner of the tower, where he still had a commanding view. It took close quarters assault to take him down.

The only warning the muslims would give a crowd is “Allahu Ackbar!”

The only salvation of being armed in a situation like this, if you are not already killed or incapacitated, is that you can now fire back. But that is shooting back at an enemy that may hold tactical superiority and is not afraid to die, even believing that he is already dead. You have to decipher how many, what type, and roughly what skill level the shooters have, and you have no idea how much ammo they brought to the party. It’s best to assume more than you.

Here is what I would suggest to the French People. Arm yourselves and rather than wait for them to attack again, root them out and deport them at gunpoint. No muslim, no problem.

An armed citizenry is important. But as you noted, it is of limited value. For example, armed citizens could not have prevented the Boston Marathon bombing.

No, sadly it couldn’t. And that would become a common tactic to be used if gatherings of crowds that were armed. If I were a terrorist and I wanted to make the biggest impact, and even though I was committed to die, I certainly would not walk into a hail of bullets from armed citizens.

Being armed is supposed to make you safe and FEEL safe as well. If you being killed by tactics and techniques that negate you being armed, you become demoralized in spite of being armed.
