A millionaire Republican is seeking to challenge Democratic incumbent Bill de Blasio for the New York City mayoralty in the mold of Mike Bloomberg. Paul Massey, a real estate executive who recently moved to the city from Westchester County, launched a campaign website and filed the requisite forms Thursday with the Campaign Finance Board for the 2017 election, according to spokeswoman Jessica Proud. Board spokesman Matt Sollars said Friday afternoon that the board had not received Massey’s filing. Massey plans to self-fund the campaign with the help of donors, and will not participate in the city’s contribution-matching program, Proud said. For every dollar raised, the Campaign Finance Board kicks in $6, but restricts spending of participating campaigns.

A Republican should be able to beat the loathsome Diblasio but I’m thinking someone that moves in from leafy Westchester isn’t gonna be the guy.

“A millionaire Republican is seeking to challenge Democratic incumbent Bill de Blasio for the New York City mayoralty in the mold of Mike Bloomberg.”

In other words, another RAT in RINO Clothing. Go for it, Massey, you’re just the “clean end” of the same POS! NYC needs to go under! It’s truly “the nation’s fountainhead of depravity!” Just a pack of multi-colored gibbsmedats.

Rudy in the cabinet?
We need a NAMBLAadvocate why?

Rudy was on the board of The Stonewall Veterans Association.
He wasn’t just some honorary guy lending his name out , he attended meetings.

Before you go trying to push Rooty off on aanybody, you better go find outthe history of that organization and why it was founded.

His time is past.

If Rudy ran against De Blasio in 2017 he would win Staten Island and Queens only. Manhattan, I don’t know. A lot of liberals are there.

DiBlasio is beyond disgusting. I remember his ‘Smack Down Dance’ with his lesbian/black wife and his two kids with her. It was an in-your-face put down of all who would challenge him. What has he done for you lately, NYC??

Your profile says you are from California. What expert knowledge concerning NYC gives you the right to condemn and pass judgement on the city? How much time have you spent here?

By the way, many similarly pass judgement on California and wish for it to “fall into the sea”.

That is also an ignorant statement by the way.

I’ve actually lived in California. Can you say the same about New York?

I don’t know about the millionaire part. That’s not very impressive in Manhattan.

...in the mold of Mike Bloomberg.

Is he a fake Republican running under R because there are too many Ds? Or is he the real deal, smaller government, lower taxes, second amendment friendly? Not that many "real" Rs act that way any more, but...

Rudy Giuliani would be a better example to have as a good mayor of NYC.

Is it me or does this sentence contradict itself?
