'Horrific' video shows Chicago cops fatally shooting teen

Video being described as “horrific” and “graphic” was released Friday in connection with the fatal Chicago police shooting of an 18-year-old car theft suspect as he ran away from officers last week.

The videos do not show the gunfire that killed Paul O’Neal, but show the events leading up to and after the shooting, including officers firing at a moving car and O’Neal bleeding on the ground.

“It’s disturbing and it’s violent and it’s scary,” said O’Neal family attorney Michael Oppenheimer, who called the shooting an “execution.” “Again, I’m asking for a special prosecutor — I’m not the prosecutor now. What I saw was pretty cold-blooded. There’s a lot of emotion there, There’s a lot of stuff. There’s no question in my mind they ran this kid down and murdered him.”

Hmmmm. Poor little perp? Looks like an assault with a stolen deadly jaguar to me that kicked it off. But, I do have issue with some of the video of the cops shooting as he drove at them and then past. They're lucky nobody else got hit. But hey, the #bmrs need another end of summer/preschool thing to get things kicked off for the fall (s)elections. I hear gary johnson endorsed blm. Anyway, maybe the Chirac cops should just head to the donut shop for a while. Stolen vehicle? I didn't see it. Oh darn. Look. We have a flat tire.

When you hit a car head on, on purpose, it is assault with a deadly weapon. Unless he went to the ground face down and hands showing,at that point, he was treated with all fairness.

What bugs me about this, the officers are laying out rounds in a neighborhood. Beginning of the video shows the officers pistol arm outstretched and poppin off shots at the auto as it passed by...then firing rounds down the street as the vehicle accelerated away.

Uh, is it just me? Those rounds could have missed the vehicle or ricocheted off in the middle of a neighborhood.

Reckless on the part of the officers.

Still some missing data - will they find a gun tho back that he shot first? Did the bullet wound occur while they fired at the fleeing car (potentially used as a deadly weapon itself) or after he got out and tried to run?

I couldn't be a cop today ...... way to much stress and risk with the climate this "President" has set up.

Yeah, that was my thought too. One handed control? At a passing vehicle? Adrenalin rush probably but, dang there were a lot of bullets flyin’ down the street.

Yea...not an issue, unless a kid takes one of those rounds or a grandmother gets hit through the kitchen window.

I've been a CHL holder for almost a couple of decades. I can tell you this with all certainty. If I were to open fire on a vehicle in like manner, even if the person driving attempted to run me down, I'd be put before a grand jury. Indicted? Not sure, but ya just can't justify (at least civilians) using deadly force as the perp is driving AWAY from you. The threat is gone...or going, but somehow it's ok for the police to start poppin off rounds willy nilly in an urban setting.

Not even touching the fact that it appeared the cops were surrounding the guy and he really had no where to go.

Curious, eh? Just a month ago the Brown Shirt Media would have had purpllectric fits over this and we would all be cringing in anticipation of the guaranteed rioting and inevitable subsequent police murders. Funny what a difference a month can make.

When I was young I remember that a "fleeing felon" was liable to get shot and there were no recriminations against the cop who shot him from any community. In those days if a cop said "Stop!" the fleeing felon or fleeing anyone else would stop with his hands in the air or straight out from his body.

In places where leftist governments and sycophant media are in charge, where the police are under surveillance, they do have an alternative available.

If they have criminals in need of thumping or even killing, subcontract the job to a reliable group of strong arms, in exchange for letting the group “stay below the radar” when they engage in illegal activities. Within reason.

I know of a medium sized city where this was done, after the election of a loony leftist council. Their police held an unofficial meeting with a regional biker gang, so that when an officer needed some muscle, he would call a biker, so he didn’t have to do it himself.

For their part, the bikers did a very good job of it, using only the force needed to accomplish the task, while the cop absented himself. And yes, at least twice that had to kill some violent psychotic on a rampage, but ironically that was before the police had arrived, yet with ordinary witnesses who swore that the bikers had done so legitimately.
