Washington (CNN)Sarah Palin reiterated her support for Paul Ryan's primary challenger Friday night immediately after her political ally, Donald Trump, endorsed the House speaker.
Trump on Friday evening said in Wisconsin that he would back Ryan in his Republican primary against Paul Nehlen, a little-known challenger. That announcement was a reversal from earlier in the week, when the presidential nominee declined to endorse the speaker.
Minutes after Trump announced his support during a rally in Ryan's home state, Palin wrote on Facebook that she was "proud to be standing with Paul Nehlen since May 9th."
"Wisconsin, please vote for this man 'of the people' this Tuesday!" she wrote.

It would be interesting to see some pay ops by Palin and Trump. Hmmm, if Trump and Palin had a “feud” in the press whose side would the press take?
Can’t see the upside of DJT’s Ryan endorsement - even if Nehlen claims to be unconcerned.
while I disagree with the endorsement, we are zombies like the democrats who can’t think for themselves. people understand why he did it and will still vote for Nehlan..I would be shocked if Nehlan won though.
here is some reverse psychology. democrats vote for Nehlan to make Trump look stupid. trump wins either way lol. Democrats are that dumb let’s hope they show up for Nehlan lol
Perhaps DJT’s book was exercised, and a deal was reached?
Hope lots o Dems vote against Ryan too. Could care less about Trumps expedient endorsement. Ayotte and McCain probably lose anyway.
Go Paul..........Nehlen.
Go Sarah!
I know it’s a real long shot, but wouldn’t it be great if Nehlen won?
Trump has been paying too much attention to his advisors, many of whom are, and have been, losers. They’re still thinking about “the way it’s always been done” instead of what has been working for Trump. In Trump’s case, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I think he’s hurting his own campaign by going all establishment as he did last night. FWIW... I could be wrong.
I agree. That was evidenced by Paul Ryan’s “statement” given through an aide as a response. He didn’t even bother to show up!
That’s our girl.
Trump’s 11th hour endorsement tells me he only did it because Ryan did finally endorse Trump. He will quickly endorse Nehlen once he wins and his very late endorsement tells it all.
God bless Sarah!
Look, Trump pretended to back Paul Ryan and Paul Ryan pretended to be appreciative ... In terms of voters in WI and AZ trumps endorsement is worth a bucket of warm spit ... The elections are local, not national
But in terms of being the head of the GOP this was a strategic move by Trump to move the game forward and focus on priorities .... Nothing personal, just business and necessary business for a POTUS wannabe
Today Trumps nonendorsement of 3 RINOs is out of the news cycle and Trump is all over the rotten HRC who is the biggest threat to all of us
Let’s hope the MSM is forced to cover his comments about HRC all weekend for lack of other quotes to distort and deride
Ryan will do everything to thwart a president Trump’s agenda, and it will be too late (at that point) to do anything about it.
People in Wisconsin CD1,
Please do the right thing, and disregard the ‘endorsement’ from Trump.
Everyone who followed Trump for a long time knows Trump endorsement of Ryan wasn’t really serious. Just as Ryan’s endorsement of Trump was a fake as well
I’m with Palin and Trump. Ryan’s a buttwipe and needs to be defeated. He’s no true Speaker of the House representing the votes of all the Congressmen that voted him in vicariously through the citizenry. Instead he’s an Oligarchy promoting shill for the uniparty.
OTH, with daylight between Trump and Ryan, Ryan got over empowered on the Presidential election as a go to media source to promote anti-Trump ideas that fit their narrative. Now any time Ryan goes anti-Trump its nothing more than exposing him as the enemy. Trump had to douse the fifth column fire.
They’d just enjoy and magnify the spectacle.
NeverTrumps and Dems would in theory now vote against Ryan.
It was soooo sincere that Trump had to read it.
You hit it, it was a strategic move and nothing else.
