Depends on the meaning of the word “crime”

Murder in Indy is up something like 10% over last year. 9 last week, 3 in 24 hours. One was over $5.

Crime exists.because the government allows it to exist.

If the government were to put its foot down, the rate would drop dramatically. Case in point: NYC under Mayor Rudy.

Yup. We reward bad behavior in this country. Put the bad guys in solitary with no electronics, including light, they will not want to return to prison.

Is perception reality?
Is our perception dependent on YouTube, google and the MSM?

How many times does our communication systems push boring non-crime?

We need to constantly push a pie chart that shows reality.
Deaths due to mistakes in hospitals are many times more common than deaths due to crime.

Then we need to define crime. Why does the media include suicide in crime statistics so often? And how is it that in comparing crime in different periods suicide is a crime in one period and not in another?

Many, many questions behind the creation of the perception that is most people’s reality.

Not until paragraph 10 does the article report that crime in cities actually is increasing. Until then it’s all anti-Trump opinions about crime and out-of-date statistics. Most readers won’t ever read to paragraph 10. Just more lies (definition: attempt to deceive) by the media.

The ones who want to keep the criminals out of jail are not the ones who have to live among the criminals. Too bad they aren’t the ones who get to experience the “benefits” of their actions.
