Washington (CNN)Donald Trump is expected to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan on Friday, moving to mend an intra-party rift that has put the Republican presidential nominee at odds with its highest-ranking elected official.
Trump's endorsement of Ryan would come at an 8 p.m. ET rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, two sources said.

By waiting so soon before the primary he made his statement. Leave it at that. He is hoping to make nice with the GOP as they have accepted him and since Ryan endorsed him back in June he’s playing nice. Once Ryan loses he can endorse the other guy.
Could be true, could be disinformation to hurt Trump and help ryan.
Bottom line is Ryan is going to win. Trump made him sweat. Ryan is the one who needs Trump. Not the other way around. Trump held out and Ryan buckled. Ryan gets his endorsement if he stops this nonsense and helps Trump. Pence already endorsed him and McCain.
Like it or not it’s better to have him on board with a Trump endorsement than to be fighting with him until November. Trump has bigger fish to fry.
Didn’t Trump just endorse Rubio the other day when he was in Florida? I suspect Trump thinks this will pacify the idiot RINOS. It won’t. Got news for you my fellow Freepers. If Cruz were the nominee he would of endorsed Ryan. Rubio, Walker, Jeb and all the rest would of done the same too. If it’s true it’s because he needs Wisconsin’s electoral votes in the fall. This is about winning the Presidency not a spat with Ryan. If he wins there will be plenty of time to argue with Ryan later.
The fight with Republicans is over for the time being. Trump needs to be all about defeating Clinton. There will be plenty of time for Republicans to argue over policy later.
Trump is asking a lot of people who don’t like him to vote for him because Clinton is worse. If he wastes his time fighting in Republican primaries they have no reason to vote for him.
