Mohammed El Halabi, an employee of World Vision, the worlds largest evangelical Christian charity, has been charged in Israel with funneling tens of millions of dollars to the military wing of Hamas, a designated international terrorist organization affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood.
The arrest was made June 16, according to the Israeli daily Haaretz, but a gag order on the case files was lifted Wednesday and Halabi was indicted Thursday. The indictment reveals details of how Hamas infiltrated Federal Way, Washington-based World Vision, a global Christian outreach active in nearly 100 countries.
Halabi, director of World Visions Gaza branch, was detained at the Erez crossing in Israel as he was headed back to Gaza on his way home from routine meetings, several Israeli news outlets were reporting.
Halabi was being held since June without access to legal counsel or family visits, which is normal procedure in Israel for prisoners charged with terrorist-related crimes.

Lay down with dogs, wake up with fleas.
Can’t wait to follow the money. How much of the misguided Catholic charities funded this?
“The indictment reveals details of how Hamas infiltrated Federal Way, Washington-based World Vision, a global Christian outreach active in nearly 100 countries.”
The Left corrupts everything.
I can hear the wallets snapping shut right now...
We’ve got to be in the “Last Days”
We send a few bucks to a boy in Senegal in a Muslim village. Through World Vision.
World Vision also made news a couple of years ago with a policy change regarding same-sex married couple employees.
If I remember correctly, World Vision is a Christian mission with a low-key approach to its Christian foundation.
Compare with Compassion International.
This is why I am very wary of any organized charity. Handing money over to any group is really your only interaction. After that who knows where the money goes. It might go to exactly what you hoped it would but again who knows for sure. Your ability to track where your money goes ends at that first interface.
Bkmrk.
Stupid is as stupid does. He was such a nice man you know. Always so giving. How Christian of the Christian Charity to let itself be sucker punched.
I’ll be more forgiving. The Christian Charity purposefully hired him and allowed Israel to track each and every move. There I feel much better.
“We send a few bucks to a boy in Senegal in a Muslim village. Through World Vision.”
Do you know if your money actually goes to this boy?
Though your contribution is small, if thousands of others are doing the same it would add up to big dollars.
I always take the trust but verify approach when dealing with charities.
There are many fraudulent ones out there.
Too much trust, trying to avoid stereotyping, insufficient audit controls ...
"After all this time, what difference does it make!"
World Vision was infiltrated by Marxists long before the Hamas infestation. They ceased being genuinely Christian a long time ago. The current snafu is certainly shocking, but hardly surprising.
It seems that so many of the so called Christian Charities have been infiltrated by bad people.
Appealing to the compassion of good people is one of the oldest scams in the world.
I used to enjoy giving some chickens and ducks which was all I could generally afford to give. One time when I had a bit more I gave a goat, in hopes that it would provide milk as the ad indicated it would. From what we know now I guess the goat became some Muslim man’s girlfriend.
Reminds me of Christian churches and organizations supporting Marxists in South Africa, Rev. Jim Jones, and now causing untold harm and chaos with their “sponsorship” of Somali and other undesirable immigrants who hate our values.
