It’s Fairfax County.
What else could you expect?
Actually, Mayor of the City of Fairfax, but you’re right, Fairfax County is no better — all run by RATs.
And Fairfax County is why Virginia has gone blue. Always the last to report their vote totals...the RATs gotta get the tally “right.”
>> Its Fairfax County <<
Nope. As Nick Nack has noted, its Fairfax CITY.
A city under Virginia law is never part of a county. Cities and counties are entirely separate legal entities under the often unique and archaic statutes of Virginia. A city in the Commonwealth even has its own city sheriff to serve papers, transport prisoners, etc.
(Aside: A true Virginian never refers to the State of Virginia. Its gotta be the Commonwealth of Virginia.)
To make matters even weirder, the official county seat, the jail and the courthouse for the County of Fairfax are in Fairfax City. In other words, the county seat is not in the County! Go figure.
I know it all seems crazy to people from elsewhere, but its just the way the Old Dominion does things.
