He told me the "criminal mastermind" types like what you'd see on CSI, Law and Order, etc are very rare, typically a police officer runs into those type of characters once or twice in their careers. If ever.
The real masterminds get away with the crime. We know there are a lot of unsolved crimes out there.

Jane Fonda should open a car dealership there—North Tonawanda Fonda Honda.

Affirmative FICTION
This story gets to the front page, A1.
The story showing the "victim" was bankrupt, the house was in foreclosure, and he set the fire himself, will be on page 24 of section D.

You can almost hear a beer-bellied Southern sheriff reciting it.
And the sheriff would have been the county's top Democrat also.

Would be nice to know if he turned in the racist note when he got it or just “saved it, in case something happened” so he could turn it over (with his fingerprints and other contamination from handling it for a few days) after the place burned....didn’t see that bit of info in the article.

Jane Fonda should open a car dealership thereNorth Tonawanda Fonda Honda. The lot would smell like (heck, actually be) a sewer by the end of the first week.

Possibly another firefighter that was passed over for promotion by a black person. Never say “never”.

There are still real (white) racists out there, some of whom will use the rash of fake hate crimes as cover. So don’t judge the guy too quickly.

If it was done after the fact, that would be mighty suspicious in itself. "My house burned to the ground, but look at this racist note I saved!"

FYI, I just heard that an arrest has been made in this case and it appears that it his home was set on fire by a racist (former) fire fighter. The man who was arrested was dismissed from the fire dept. a couple of weeks ago for failing his fire fighters tests. This creep needs to go to jail for a long time.

If the man’s guilty, then certainly. The FBI was involved in this investigation though, so I am leery of their competence.
The suspect has a Spanish last name: Jurado.
