A North Tonawanda firefighter targeted by racist threats has lost his home to a fire.
Kenneth Walker recently received a piece of paper in his mailbox containing a racist message and a threat.
On Wednesday afternoon, Walkers Oliver St. home caught fire.
As authorities investigate the message and the fire, U.S. Attorney William Hochul said the threat is being reviewed.

after all the other fake hate crimes...this one is likely a fake too. Watch, He will have set his own house on fire.
Based solely on your comment re the note: fishy.
I wish two pets did not have to die for this contrivance.
Could’ve been fake by another black using him.
Non sequitur. It does not follow.
Seems to me as if this one might not be fake.
Given the circumstances, I think it would be premature to presume that this fire was set by the homeowner.
We'll have to see what the investigation reveals, but not too many people are going to burn down their own house to score political/sympathy points...
Vote Trump!
Not a bad plan if you want to commit insurance fraud.
Set it up to make it look like racist terrorist warned you to get out of your job.
Just have to make sure you dont leave any finger prints or DNA on the envelope, make sure you dont have any of the same paper in your house or the same pen that wrote the note.
Most people that do this sort of thing are not the type that think the deed through. If they were they wouldnt do it.
Definitely sounds like a Democrat did it.
I don't know what happened here, but they might check his finances. People DO set fire to their own places, to collect insurance money. We shall see. I hope there is some followup on it.
Hoax. All of them are.
The insurance folks should be able to figure that out in about two seconds.
Yup. Some of the myriad hoaxes we’ve seen take some time to unravel, but unravel they do.
That “note” supposedly found sounds like dialogue from a 21st century movie set in the “racist” ‘60s. You can almost hear a beer-bellied Southern sheriff reciting it.
It sounds fishy to me as well. If you want to do someone harm, why telegraph your punch. Just punch away and do your worst.
That’s what these things all have in common. Someone supposedly leaves a “message” and then the bad thing happens. That doesn’t square with real life. At all.
I don’t think anybody wants to burn their home down, but I can see one the BLM members doing something like this to a black to gin up racial tensions.
Smells like an attempt to get insurance money or Go Fund Me Account.
Who is against black firemen?
I smell some bull shite!

Talk about a blast from the past.
Growing up on Southern Ontario, we also got all the Buffalo and Rochester news channels, and it seemed like EVERY news report was about yet another fire in North Tonawanda.
There were running jokes about it in the Seventies and Eighties. Just like Devil’s Night in Detroit.
>> Non sequitur. It does not follow
Nonsense — no failure of consistency nor relevance in the poster’s assertion.
>> Seems to me as if this one might not be fake.
Fair enough — a difference of opinion.
