Gallup poll: Hillary drops to lowest level of millennial approval

Hillary Clinton may be leading her competitors with the millennial demographic, but the results of a recent Gallup poll show she doesn’t have much to celebrate. The poll addresses “Hillary Clinton’s Continuing Youth Problem,” showing that the problem is not only continuing, it’s reached its worst point. Only 31 percent of millennials have a favorable opinion of Hillary.

The low favorable ratings are worse considering a year ago 47 percent of those 18- to 29-year-olds had a favorable opinion of her.

Hillary is barely viewed positively even among young Democrats. She holds a favorable rating of 48 percent to 47 percent unfavorable. That number is much higher for Democrats in all other age groups. The Washington Examiner spoke with young Democrats at the DNC, where only one-in-four said they wanted to vote for her. At a Harvard IOP youth town hall, most were not enthusiastic about Hillary.

Young Americans began to view Hillary more unfavorably in February and March, and her numbers have been dropping ever since.

“Clinton’s image has dropped among all age groups but has fallen the most with young Americans,” according to Gallup.

At this point, Hillary would do far worse than Barack Obama, who won re-election with 67 percent of the youth vote, which allowed him to win the swing states of Ohio, Florida, and Virginia. Others have warned that young swing states voters who stay home could jeopardize Hillary’s chances.

“This could create real problems for her campaign if it does not change in the weeks ahead,” Gallup said. “Young Americans should be Clinton’s natural constituency. Half identify or lean Democratic, and 31 percent identify as liberal, the ideology most often associated with the Democratic Party.”

Do they vote? If not, at this point, what difference does it make? ;-)

Psssst! Kids, Jill Stein is the real deal, the closest to what Bernie preached.

She even has a non-white running made named Baraka.

All we need is for a bunch of them to stay home.

The democrats are going to fix the elections just like they did the primaries. So who cares who votes and who they vote for. The system is already rigged.

Maybe they are figuring out that she will raise the debt by trillions of dollars which they will have to repay or pay interest on for the rest of their lives.

Her approval could be at 1% and disapproval at 99% but every registered democrat, living or not, will still vote for her.

When your candidate sucks, the obvious strategy is to make your opponent suck MORE.

IOW, a dirty, muckraking, slime-throwing campaign. They need to make Trump worse than the Devil himself, so the masses will vote Hillary from sheer terror.

I know, it's no big surprise the Dems go negative, but we ain't seen nothin' yet.

A higher percent of the young are Hispanic. They have a low turnout rate in the past. The ones who vote are either
a) Military or b) college students. I have experience getting them to vote for the most conservative candidate.

Many Hispanics can find a strong (macho) personality appealing.

A higher percent of the old are white females. They have an extremely high voter turnout rate.

Those who are bitter from divorce or men who lie vote Democrat. They see the gumit as their saftey net because they can’t count on the men in their life. They fantasize about the TV Bachelorette.

Those who are/were in committed family relationships vote Republican. They see the rings of a safety net..self first, then nuclear family, then extended family, then friends at church and voluntary groups, then local government. They like the TV Bluebloods and were docuented in Democracy in America.

Millineals love Bernie and hate Hillary for rigging the game.

I remember back in 2008 there were a bunch of Hillary supporters who were pissed at the DNC for rigging the game for 0bama. They called them PUMA’s (Party Unity My A**) and they were supposed to either stay home or vote for McCain. They did neither. Most voted for 0bama in the end.

I hope millineals don’t forgive and forget on election day just like the PUMA’s did.

Polling is all they do. They stopped doing primary polls because their models were turning out to be wrong. I haven't heard if they're back in the Presidential polling biz.

DemRATs may have a problem if their young supporters start paying attention to what they do rather than just listen to what they say.
