The most telling part is that all nations recognized there would be an immediate power vacuum and that allied forces would have to immediately intervene (Militarily) to secure the peace and get government going in the right direction.
Hind site - 20/20 - After acting covertly, the US could NEVER just step in after the government fell and Kadafi was killed. It would look like we were taking over and “occupying” after the fight.
Whatever the actual intent was, was a bad plan and horrible miscalculation.
Easy there. This e-mail has been available since 29 February 2016 (released by State Dept) and on Wikileaks web-page since March 16th. Hopefully Wikileaks will release more - and even more damaging. However, given Clinton’s reply to Senator Rand Paul re this issue she is once again caught lying.
