Donald Trump’s spokeswoman blamed the policies of President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for the death of Army Capt. Humayun Khan, despite the fact that Khan died in 2004.

“It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagement that probably cost his life,” spokeswoman Katrina Pierson said in an interview Tuesday with CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer.

Khan died during the presidency of George W. Bush, while Obama was a state senator in Illinois.

Oh well. Only the Republican faux pas are spread far and wide.

Admittedly, this was a mistake. Compare that to Hillary’s pathological lying.

Obola can't be blamed for *that* one...he was still shaking down Illinois liquor store owners for favorable votes in 2004.The Former Twelfth Lady certainly can share blame however.

Trump just needs to put a sock in it. Had Hellary on the ropes last week, then this “event.” Concentrate on winning and not responding to every accusation. He needs no more Akin moments.”

Trump and his people just need to stop talking about Khan and his father. When the media brings it up just refer them to Trump’s statement calling the son a hero and thanking them for their sacrifice and refuse to say any more. They’re just keeping the issue alive with boneheaded remarks like this.

Katrina is better than that. Now, there was Democrat complaining that led to bad rules of engagement. That’s as close as we can get here.

Katrina is usually a strong spokesperson for Trump, but this time she stepped in it. The Trump campaign needs to admit this error immediately.

Why the heck do they have to keep commenting on this stupid story? It has nothing to do with the election. Just move on.

-- Admittedly, this was a mistake. --

And Katrina Pierson admitted it was a mistake. Took the wind right out of her inquisitor's sails.

PIERSON: But Donald Trump wasn't there. That is the only point. That's the only point. Donald Trump is being blamed for something he had nothing to do with, and he did not attack this family.

CAMEROTA: But you are blaming President Obama.

BERMAN: Katrina, the words you used, "probably cost his life." President Obama and Hillary Clinton changed the rules of engagement that probably cost his life. You do acknowledge now that there you were just wrong?

PIERSON: Well, absolutely. That's why I used "probably," because I was just going through the timeline, because since then we have had tens of thousands of soldiers that have been lost, 1 million wounded, $6 trillion later. How can we put the onerous on Donald Trump? It is absolutely absurd. And that's why you see all this confusion surrounding this issue, because Donald Trump had absolutely nothing to do with it.

CAMEROTA: No one was blaming Donald Trump for Captain Khan's death. You were blaming President Obama and he wasn't president yet.

PIERSON: No, I was talking about Hillary Clinton specifically voting for the war. That was during that time period.

BERMAN: You said change the rules of engage that cost his life. That's what you specifically said.

PIERSON: In the chronological order, absolutely. ...

If George W. Bush is responsible for World War Two (according to some dummycrat I listened to once) then Obama can certainly be responsible for things that happened long ago.

Katrina already admitted to the error on CNN.

And for the thrid time, A CNN host is sputtering when asked “ Exactly what did Trump say that he should apologize for?”

I have tired of these transparent attempts to take down a GOP presidential candidate, just like they did to Romney and Palin in years past, based on nothing but a lie or a distortion.

The media lies, and other media swears to it, and they keep a false story alive for a week in order to deflect from the obvious weakness of the Dem candidate.

Two weeks ago, Trump became the leader of the new GOP.

The old guard at the GOP hasn’t gotten the message yet.

But they are about to.

If they don’t get aboard the Trump Train soon, it will run them over.

When it comes to elections, Dems are the Evil Party, and Republicans are the Stupid Party.

Cut the Khan. It’s a mess of quicksand and won’t end well for us. Time to get smart for a change. The issues are on our side, and the other candidate is just plain bad. Take our advantage and run with it.

Just read it, and she did not admit her mistake. She only said that she didn’t say what she actually said. That ain’t even the beginning of an apology or an admission.
