Dakota Meyer, the son-in-law of Sarah Palin and a Medal of Honor recipient, has called on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to apologize to the family of slain US Army Capt. Humayun Khan.
Meyer, a Marine Corps veteran and the second youngest living person to receive the military's highest honor, joined the backlash and blasted Trump for criticizing Khan's father and mother after they appeared at the Democratic National Convention in support of Hillary Clinton last week.
'If @realDonaldTrump wants to be the Commander in Chief, he needs to act like one,' Meyer wrote in a tweet to his 73,000 followers. 'And that cant start until he apologizes to the Khans.'
Clinton retweeted Meyer's tweet for her eight million followers. Her campaign has seized on the controversy, and members of Trump's own party have turned against him or distanced themselves from him.
Meyer, 28, who is married to Bristol Palin, the daughter of 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has been involved in Republican politics and backed Senator Ted Cruz for the nomination.
President Barack Obama awarded Meyer, a former Marine Corps corporal from Columbia, Kentucky, the Medal of Honor in 2011 for his heroic actions during a six-hour battle with the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2009.
Trump has angered politicians on both sides of the political spectrum after he made critical remarks against Khan's father, Khizr, who spoke at the DNC, and mother, Ghazala, who appeared on stage with him. Meyer was awarded the military's highest honor for his heroic actions in Afghanistan
Their 27-year-old son was killed in a suicide attack while serving in Iraq in 2004. The Muslim soldier was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

I'm still trying to figure out what Trump said that was so bad if you subtract out him questioning why the mother didn't speak and maybe the part about Hillary feeding the father lines. The father attacked Trump's policy proposals and the media was using him to try to attack Trump's policies, so he responded when asked a question by George S. He never said the son wasn't a hero.
Khan needs to apologize to Trump, Dakota, NOT the other way around.
And Sarah Palin needs to have a talk with her son-in-law, because he doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about.

Now Kahn is presuming to demand that a purple heart vet cannot give his medal to Trump. Has this not reached Grinnell absurdity, when Kahn is attacking the decision of a wounded hero to support Trump?
He may be a CMH winner but that doesn’t guarantee intelligence.

Here’s the truth: Hillary Rotten Criminal voted FOR the Iraq War which Trump OPPOSED, but when Khan’s son got killed over there, he let the Clintons pay him and his butt-ugly wife off and they’ve been obedient little Dhimmis-in-Reverse ever since.
Khan is a whore, and is using his son’s death to score cheap political points for the ‘RATS, and Dakota Meyer needs a good ass kicking until he wakes up and realizes just WTF is going on.
