Reagan was loved by those around him. I was also told, by someone that worked with Reagan, that Ronnie was the same in private as he was in public.

Corrupt State Troopers who did Bill's (and Hillary's) bidding wanted to maintain that power over people, even if they didn't gain the salary, the perqs were worth it.
