I am sure discrimination occurs against blacks. However, an equally important question is why the same discrimination does not seem to apply with the same intensity for other minorities, like those from Asia, India, etc. Blacks profess that black lives matter, yet the vast majority of murders in the US are blacks killing blacks. Taxpayers have thrown trillions of dollars at this and related problems for blacks since the War on Poverty began under Johnson. Now, their murder rate is worse as are the poverty levels. Personally, I think blacks have a internal problem and we need to see them working on a solution to those problems themselves. Sociologists point to the fact that 72% of black children have no father present in the home. After all, it takes no effort to be a father, but it’s damn hard to be a parent. Maybe Jesse and Al should examine what they can do internally to repair the black family rather than trying to blame everyone else for their problems.

Well said.

Why do other minority groups not suffer the same alleged discrimination, or have the same awful social pathologies, of the black population???

Off topic, but there has been a lot of immigration to this country, from all parts of the world, since 1965. This includes sub-Saharan Africa. Millions have immigrated here from Africa. If America is so bigoted and racist, why would millions of black Africans have immigrated here in recent decades????
