Nobody knows, for sure. Likely a combination of factors, one of which is that the race might actually be close. You will never go wrong in underestimating the intelligence and morals of the public at large.

The factors that come to mind:

• Hillary's events are closed to the general public, depressing rally turnout
• Polls are "rigged" - oversample DEMs

CNN playing a clip of Pence being confronted on this issue. he does a good job. Lets the mother vent at him, and then says that Trump has more respect for the armed forces than anybody (certainly more than Hillary).

Following that snippet on CNN, Karen Meredith, a Gold Star mom (and likely DEM), repeats the lie that Trump has denigrated the troops. Their arguments would be much better if they didn't rely on lies to frame the issue.

I did ‘love’ the one state that Bernie & H were ‘tied’ in 9 or 10 different wards(??) and SHE won ‘all of them’ in ‘secret’ votes.
