Up thread I suggested a Shovel, it is a multi-tasker, you can use it for more than it’s intended purpose.
I went to Dollar Store and bought 6 aluminum peewee size bats
(the kind that they use for T-Ball)
I have them scattered around where I will be ... they are good enough quality to get a single job done and unless I get carried away probably re-usable.
Still gonna need the shovel

After living in the Aleutians, Guam, and even back to the Seattle earthquake of 64, believe me when I say, that after many tremors, quakes, shimmies etc... it becomes familiar enough to quickly assess.

Not at all. The ‘fight or flight’ response either leads to well-rehearsed action or it leads to chaos. Or running like h*ll.
The question I now have is how does fight or flight square with “neural paralysis?”
They appear to be inherently contradictory to the frozen (neural paralysis) response.

So what are you supposed to do when they are wearing explosive clothing? It’s probably just a tactic to keep police away longer, but has anyone ever blown themselves up while being gang tackled? Or is the fact they are using knives mean they would have already used the vest if it was functional?

I’m no expert on the subject, either, but I would guess if the ‘fight’ response is exactly equal to the ‘flight’ respionse, then you just freeze in place and look stupid while you’re shot. Or knifed. Or whacked with a piece of pipe. Or whatever.
Then I guess I’d better work more on being ready, because if I just freeze, 50 people could die. Those are the stakes nowadays.
