RALEIGH The US Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday overturned the 2013 elections law case that included the voter ID provision.
The three-judge panel found that the law was adopted with “discriminatory intent.”
The ruling prohibits North Carolina from requiring photo identification from voters in future elections, including the November 2016 general election, restores a week of early voting and preregistration for 16- and 17-year-olds, and ensures that same-day registration and out-of-precinct voting will remain in effect.
Challengers of the elections law overhaul shepherded through the Republican-led General Assembly in 2013 and signed into law by Gov. Pat McCrory quickly lauded the ruling.
“With surgical precision, North Carolina tried to eliminate voting practices disproportionately used by African-Americans. This ruling is a stinging rebuke of the state’s attempt to undermine African-American voter participation, which had surged over the last decade,” said Dale Ho, director of the ACLU’s Voting Rights Project. “It is a major victory for North Carolina voters and for voting rights.”

Based on that reasoning can we abolish the TSA now? Surely all of their ID demands must also be based on “discriminatory intent.”
There needs to be mass impeachment of the 4th & 9th circuits.
Not surprised at all. The question may soon become “is this nation worth preserving at all?” It is scary how close we are to that answer being “no”.
Once again, the Democrats are able to overturn the will of the voters and their elected representatives by meddling judges. The crisis continues...
Not going to happen, of course. They’ve taken over the “system” while conservatives stick to the old democratic notion of elections, legislation, and the like. Won’t work anymore. Every good law is simply ignored or tossed out as “unconstitutional” by courts that have as much interest in constitutional law as the professor in the White House.
Trump in first days - fire all federal prosecutors and judges. Bill Clinton did it with fedgov prosecutors and set the precedence.
Trump will need a miracle from God to win due to the overwhelming voter fraud set in place by the Dems

Why do we not simply start referring to these rulings as “Democrats think black people are too stupid to get IDs”
I think we can make headway by emphasizing over and over again how in so many facets that democrats act as if black people are too stupid and incompetent to do anything without white help. (though technically this isn’t really about black people being too stupid to get ID’s, it is about being able to go to a voting booth, armed with a list of fake names, and use those names to vote).
It would help if these State legislatures would stop loading these photo ID bills with extras that are obviously intended to discriminate. SCOTUS has approved the requirement for photo ID’s.
It’s the extra stuff that gets these things overturned.
This means the law has to be passed on the Fed level, unfortunately, or the SCOTUS has to overturn the Circuits on what will likely be 9th amendment grounds.
Not a power reserved to the feds for states to decide that the legitimacy of their elections includes a verification of residency. We require it for little league baseball, and whether you can use a city library, but not voting.

It may be impossible and we may be left with only the choices of violent upheaval or subjugation...and I believe America today will choose subjugation.
So blacks don’t need passports anymore? Driver licenses? Are the judges telling us that blacks are just too lame to get a photo ID? This is why people are so upset. We know that blacks are not lame and can take care of themselves. We also know that the Judges are in the Democrats’ pockets. WE ARE PISSED OFF, SO STOP THIS NONSENSE!
I’m telling ya.....one of these email leaks is liable to show that marching orders went out from the DNC and/or the White Hut to Federal judges instructing them to put the kaibosh on these laws before November.

Under Article I of the Constitution, it was intended that the States would have total discretionary control of voting rights. While that has been limited by certain specific Amendments, such as the XVth & XIXth; this is against the whole spirit of Federalism.
It will only take a few...
We need to rethink the very idea that everyone’s vote should count equally.
