The attacker, 58, lunged at a member of staff serving customers in the store after grabbing one of the blades on display.
A 57-year-old employee was said to be badly injured after they were stabbed in the torso.
Police are treating the attack, which happened at the Galeria Kaufhof shop on Cologne's main High Street, as murder.

There is no indication that the stabbing was terrorism-related although Germany is on high laert for another Islamist-inspired attack after a string of incidents in the last 10 days.
NOT TERRORISM, Sheeple, move along.
According to the German newspaper Bild the operation was linked to an alleged fight between two men at a nearby refugee camp last night, during which one threatened to kill the other.
Yet they don't release the name or any details about the perp.
And.... It’s Jihad....Again. Islam is a mental disorder.

These camps remind me of the Orcs in the LOTR movies.
The mandatory classes in Islamic culture and tradition that German government officials are pushing for can’t begin soon enough!
Unfortunately these attacks are working, the Germans are being beaten into submission with the help of their compliant government. If they were going to rise up and tar-and-feather Merkel they would have done it by now.
More likely with each attack the Germans will get more submissive to their new masters. More of their culture will be torn away and replaced with Islam. No one there will dare put up a fight as Sharia is increasingly enacted. It is horrifying to watch this.

Terrorism is the new buzz word. The only murders that count (among the West's brain dead liberals) are those committed by career terrorists. We need to reframe the discussion.
We need to highlight any attack committed by a Muslim as an attack on civilization. We must stop trying to hide the obvious and become as savage as they.

At first glance, that statement looks over-the-top. But I think you're right. The Muslim immigrants will object to (fill in the blank), so the Germans will modify things to address that objection.
It will be a slow process, with the Muslims just grinding out the yards (to use a football analogy).
