Ted Kennedy's Soviet Gambit (And Dems Want To Tar Trump!)
Forbes ^ | 8/28/2008 | Peter Robinson

Picking his way through the Soviet archives that Boris Yeltsin had just thrown open, in 1991 Tim Sebastian, a reporter for the London Times, came across an arresting memorandum. Composed in 1983 by Victor Chebrikov, the top man at the KGB, the memorandum was addressed to Yuri Andropov, the top man in the entire USSR. The subject: Sen. Edward Kennedy.

“On 9-10 May of this year,” the May 14 memorandum explained, “Sen. Edward Kennedy’s close friend and trusted confidant [John] Tunney was in Moscow.” (Tunney was Kennedy’s law school roommate and a former Democratic senator from California.) “The senator charged Tunney to convey the following message, through confidential contacts, to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Y. Andropov.”

Kennedy’s message was simple. He proposed an unabashed quid pro quo. Kennedy would lend Andropov a hand in dealing with President Reagan. In return, the Soviet leader would lend the Democratic Party a hand in challenging Reagan in the 1984 presidential election.

It's important to delve through historical treachery of the Democrat Party and, now, with their ganging up on Trump for suggesting that the Russians perform a task of which our government is incapable.

Donald Trump: Are you paying attention. Throw this into the corrupt faces of the Hillary Clinton plotters.

It would be very nice to have a woman for president someday that is actually a typical, functioning female instead of this wormy old water buffalo who is the most corrupt female in the world today. Where did these two yahoos get the $200 million?

When President Reagan chose to confront the Soviet Union, calling it the evil empire that it was, Sen. Edward Kennedy chose to offer aid and comfort to General Secretary Andropov. On the Cold War, the greatest issue of his lifetime, Kennedy got it wrong.

Yep. Just like Zell Miller said, when it comes to national security, no pair has been more wrong, more loudly, more often than the two Senators from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry.

The “Slimeball” Ted Kennedy is where he belongs, but arrived decades too late. Just as corrupt as some others currently in the spotlight, if not more so, if that’s at all possible.

You mean THIS guy?
Photobucket

Someone really ought to erect a statue on the Mall to Mary Jo for keeping this reprobate out of the White House. She really DID give her life for her country.

Years ago I MCd a speech here by former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov. He worked for Novosti Press, the USSR’s propaganda arm. In his remarks, he told several stories about how his job during Kennedy’s visits there was to KEEP TEDDY DRUNK. He said Teddy was more than happy to oblige.

so finally the content rather than the breach matters.
DJ Trump refuses to be smoke and mirrored to look elswehre.

some of us remember when a republican staffers had access to Democrat communications documents from the US Senate Judiciary Committee.

The content was troubling, but the scandal wasn’t about the content, only the breach.
