They are certainly intellectually confused--even if some have average or above average IQ's. Many of them certainly come across as dolts.

But your comment dismisses their real deficiency. By their own mentor's testimony, they are ex-Trotskyites--disciples of the chief butcher in the Bolshevik Revolution:

But, as asked below.... Why?

What would ANY person who nominally is a “conservative” or who supports Israel in ANY way support a continued anti-Semitic, viciously Israel-hating State Dept and White House?

So, trump opposes greater expansion and support of Saudi Arabia.
Hillary is bought and paid for BY Saudi, Qatar, Russia and massive foreign oil Muslim/MidEastern money. She may not stay “bought” when somebody else offers more money, but she is bought now.
Is that a a part of their ever-so-fervent opposition to Trump?
