I watched Hillary address this same VFW a day or so ago. My wife and I were wondering if there were any people in attendance, or if this was just something recorded for broadcast, because of the absolute silence of the crowd.

No people shuffling their feet, nobody coughing, no murmur in the background, nothing that you'd expect from an audience actually on site listening to what she had to say.

Then about 15 minutes into her speech, she said something that the spectators "kind of" approved of, and you could hear sparse, polite clapping in the background. So there actually WERE people there. Didn't sound like many, though.

Contrast that with the enthusiastic reception Trump got today from the VFW.

If I didn't despise Hillary so much, I might even be beginning to feel sorry for her.

Well, maybe not "feel sorry". its' more like "was embarrassed for her". I could never really feel sorry for Hillary, not even if they tied her up between 4 horses and tore her to pieces on live TV.
