On the night that Hillary Clinton accepts the Democratic Party’s nomination for president, Sacramento Republican Doug Elmets, who worked in the Reagan White House and spearheaded construction of a statue of the late president at the California Capitol, will deliver a blistering critique of Donald Trump at the Democratic National Convention.
In his Thursday night address, the Sacramento public affairs consultant will call Trump a “petulant, dangerously unbalanced TV star” and contrast him with Ronald Reagan, he said Monday.
Elmets previously said publicly that he planned to vote for Clinton. Still, he said people will be “a little bit shocked” by what he called a “pretty provocative” speech. In his remarks, he will seek to persuade Republicans and independent voters to shift their support to Clinton.
“I believe that four years of Hillary Clinton is better than one day of Donald Trump as president,” he said Monday.

We had a dem speak at ours once. It doesn’t go over well, as people think of you as a weasel no matter what side you’re on.
Also, CNN saying bernie gave electrifying speech.
I doubt he did, and even if he did, it would just ignite his base to protest MORE at the convention.
Wait until the Hillary emails hit. This guy will be as electable as Selfish Ted.

Bring it. American Citizens (real citizens) have convention fatigue already, and will be out enjoying the summer weather doing other things.
I listened as long as I could but it was way darker than Trumps and his party has been in power for 8 years.

Weird speech. Like with Warren’s speech, all of the bad things they railed against happened under Obama’s watch; apparently they don’t feel the Democrat voters are smart enough to understand that, and who knows, maybe they are right.
Bernie’s speech was also interesting because he spoke mostly about the issues of interest to him and his supporters, but then just tacked on a pro-forma “vote for hillary” at the very end of his speech.
I see a lot of hollywood freaks are expected to speak.

That is ironic. Complaining about the current state of affairs under a president that caused them.
Bernie is a fruitcake and I hope his followers destroy this convention.
