It was called in from Hawaii by his grandmother.

Grandparents do it all the time in our small town to announce the birth of a new grandchild born to distant children.

There are many anomalies with the announcements, and I am not going to waste my time pointing them all out, but what I can tell you is this. I went to Hawaii and visited the Honolulu library and the library in Kahului on Maui and what we found was that the announcements containing the one’s arrival where exactly the same in both papers. That only occurred for that publication as we examined several weeks either side of that date. They were all mixed up. That makes perfect sense because they are different papers with different adverts and people working for those newspapers. A statistical impossibility for all the announcements to be arranged in the same order.
