It’s sister stores - SEARS, are not far behind. The current CEO has been a disaster (of course he will walk away with billion$$). When they started making most Craftsman hand tools in China I stopped shopping there.

Yes, Craftsman has ceased to be the quality it was years ago. I understand that the company that made their hand tools now make the Husky brand for Home Depot.
I was never a particular fan of K mart, but it sad to see Sears trending the same way. I remember the jokes, when they merged, that the combined K mart and Sears, Roebuck and Company would form a single firm called K suck.
Years ago I read that the real estate that the old Sears stores were built on were on main streets in small towns. What I read was that was the reason sears is valued so highly or was years ago.
Suicide move right there. That's when I stepped off too. It's sad to see Sears go. They had Craftsman tools, which was the every guy brand and they have an unrivaled parts supply. You can buy a part for darn near any consumer machine or gadget made in the last 25 years from Sears if you can provide them any information at all. We bought a Kenmore washer and dryer recently for the express reason that I can buy a part from Sears and fix my machine myself.
