Among other positions, he supports funding Planned Parenthood, the Iran "agreement", gun control legislation, climate change legislation, tax increases, the TPP, same sex marriage and an internet sales tax.

With her campaign just limping along, Hillary decided that she needed a Kaine. You can always walk with a Kaine, but can anyone really run with a Kaine? I have a feeling that come November she’ll be in need of a wheelchair, instead of just a Kaine.

For all the “racializing” on the left this cycle, this is the whitest Democrat ticket they could have come up with.
Just because he has won Virginia before doesn’t mean he will do it again.
I have members of the family who are liberal, and they had some kind of in law family tie to Kaine (someone works in their organization or something) so I am certain this is all the are chattering about.
I can’t bear to be around them. Family and all, but liberal as the day is long. Don’t understand it.

In general, professional politicians and insiders have made a mess of the country. They are nothing but slick talking lawyers and hucksters who con voters into believing they will actually do anything constructive. Its time to elect a person with real, tangible accomplishments who shuns political correctness and represents the average person.
To be fair, he's also against them.
Very disappointed Hillary didn’t choose Bill is as her Vice Presidential running mate. Face it, no politician alive has more hands on experience with Vice, than Bill. He would have been the perfect choice.

Charles Chamberlain, the executive director of Democracy for America released a statement on Thursday that suggested Kaine would not be a good pick, considering “his vote for fast track authority for the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership and this newly uncovered push for bank deregulation.”
Given Sanders’ calls to break up the banks and reform Wall Street, Kaine doesn’t seem like a likely contender for Sanders’ support, either.
Clinton already has work to do to gain support from Sanders supporters, and it doesn’t seem like Kaine would be the way to go, considering his support for the TPP and for deregulating banks. Though Kaine’s base in Virginia will certainly help the presumptive Democratic nominee in the swing state, a more progressive VP pick might have done well to bridge the gap between moderate Democrats and progressives.
A Bloomberg Politics poll from last month showed that nearly half of Americans who voted in support of Sanders’ campaign — to rebuild the middle class, change the campaign financing system, break up financial institutions on Wall Street, and build a more socialized health care and education system — will not support Clinton. It would seem that choosing a VP pick to secure that vote would be especially important to her campaign’s success.
