Turkey has been a piss poor NATO ally as long as I can remember. I spent 2 years at Incirlik trying to train Turkish fighter pilots. From Incirlik we are able to penetrate Syrian airspace in a matter of minutes. Due to it’s strategic location we have had to lick the Turks boots for decades. Obama’s decision to withdraw our assets in Iraq was horrible as we could have replaced our bases in Turkey for a modernized air base facility in Baghdad.

I am ashamed that we’ve allowed such terrible leaders in command of our nation’s servicemen and women.
