I like how Trump gave Teddy some room last night to let his freak flag fly and let his inner Ted run free right there in front of God and everybody.

It was very healing, and healing is exactly what we need.

After first pointing out the obvious again and again, sometimes a good dad has to just let their son or daughter see for him/herself what an idiot his/her infatuation fell for.

Trump is a good dad and there's always the morning after.

So...how's that Cruz infatuation today? All better now?

The more I see, the more I think it's safe to believe that America will be in good hands next January if Trump is pOTUS.

Even evangelical voters didn’t like him.

And Cruz has no appeal to swing voters - he’s the kind of conservative liberals paint as too extreme.

He showed that in spades last night.

You are so right. He’s on par with the worst televangelist. It wasn’t about the cop, or the cop’s daughter, or the situation. It was a path to get the conversation (two “Carolines”) back to him using children as tools. Narcissists use people as tools to further their own wellbeing; he’s textbook.

That was all during the primary and should be put aside for the general election. Trump could have extended an olive branch but didn’t.

The numbers you posted are regarding his senate campaign.

The number I posted are regarding the TX presidential primary.

Thanks. Confirmation of my suspicions. I honestly had no idea if I was correct or just whistling in the wind, because I hadn't seen anything on it.

I honestly think Trump knew even before he ever extended the offer to speak as a headline speaker, that Cruz would be divisive somehow in his speech.

I think he calculated what the result would be.

If Cruz went negative. That it would have a positive effect for him and a negative effect for Cruz.

If Cruz had endorsed him it would have been a positive effect for both.

Either way, Trump wins.

Because Trump knew at this point those were the only real options. Nothing Cruz could have said, short of a major scandal that he could prove is true, would make one bit of difference.

Now Cruz will spend the next 4 months attacking Trump and the media will give him all the air time he wants.

I've come to feel that Ted and Heidi Cruz are no different than the Clintons when it comes to their own personal ambitions, except from the opposite side of the political spectrum.

No thanks. Been there and done that for decades now, and here we are after having put up with the predator in chief, we now have the prospect of facing the predator in chief's wife at the helm? I see Ted and Heidi as in this for their own personal ambitions. He will triple-down now, as he has nowhere else to go. Good riddance.

As a TX voter, I think my most used word is more along the lines of ticked off and hoping for a primary challenger for the next senate election.

Are you serious?

9:00pm primetime speech. Cruz had it all tee'd up for a glorious reception.

He pulled another New York Values.

Tone-deaf-dumb-blind ... emphasis on deaf-dumb-blind.

And what about Cruz’s personal attacks against Trump, and his supporters?

Calling us “low-information,” “uneducated,” “Uniformed,” etc.

And blaming Trump for the riots in Chicago?

I wouldn’t pi$$ on that zealot Cruz if he were on fire.

Did Cruz apologize to Trump for attacking Melania first?

Exactly! Trump is a counter-puncher.

Thanks. You are correct as I cited the Senate campaign not the GOP presidential primary.
My bad.

The presidential GOP Primary result.
