Some of Jeremy Corbyns supporters were promised £25 from a secret fund to pay their fees to vote for the underfire Labour leader to retain his position against Owen Smith, it emerged last night.
The Labour Party has closed a JustGiving page that raised more than £14,000 in three days to pay people to vote in the election.
The money will now be returned to donors after the partys ruling National Executive Committee said it breached its rules.
A separate Facebook group, named Gimme 25, had amassed almost 3,000 members. On its page, it says: Dont think of it as begging; just think of it as direct socialism.

Bad ideas have been migrating out of Europe since two centuries ago. Seems they ran out of good ideas once the USA was established.
