I have come to realize something that is still hard for me to understand to this day. The following may be a shock to some coming from an African American, but the mere fact that it may be shocking to some is prima facie evidence of the sad state of affairs that we are in as Humans.
I used to be so torn inside growing up. Here I am, a young African-American born and raised in Brooklyn, NY wanting to be a cop. I watched and lived through the crime that took place in the hood. My own black people killing others over nothing. Crack heads and heroin addicts lined the lobby of my building as I shuffled around them to make my way to our 1 bedroom apartment with 6 of us living inside. I used to be woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of gun fire, only to look outside and see that it was 2 African Americans shooting at each other.
It never sat right with me. I wanted to help my community and stop watching the blood of African Americans spilled on the street at the hands of a fellow black man. I became a cop because black lives in my community, along with ALL lives, mattered to me, and wanted to help stop the bloodshed.
As time went by in my law enforcement career, I quickly began to realize something. I remember the countless times I stood 2 inches from a young black man, around my age, laying on his back, gasping for air as blood filled his lungs. I remember them bleeding profusely with the

Thank you, Officer Stalien, for your service to your community. Most of them do not deserve you.

Wow. That is a powerful article. It seems nearly impossible to change the ideas that are driving the hatred and violence. And that just means it isn’t over yet.
Obama had opportunities to try to bring people together, to be a better man, a better president. But he is feeding the beast instead. What a shame.
And part of why I say we will not have a race war. We will have a culture war.
God bless you brother. God see’s what you do. Your reward will be in heaven. Keep your head low, powder dry, and when in doubt use what ever it takes to go home to your family.
“But there is something that I must say to my people, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.
The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.”
We cannot walk alone. Martin Luthur King.
“I have a dream.”
I would say to the Officer Stalien, they are not your people. They belong to an entirely different culture. Just because you share the same skin color doesn’t make you one of them.
In truth, they’re not your people, any more than white criminals are my people.
God bless and protect you Officer Stalien. Thank you for all you do.
The culture war is here; it was openly declared in 2008 when Obama was elected - and in case that was a fluke due to the horrible GOP candidate, it was certainly declared in 2012 when he was re-elected. They’re steadily winning the culture war...

It is not Black Lives Matter. More accurately it is Black Leftists Murder.
Occam’s Razor (paraphrased): The best course of action is always the simplest one. Simple solution to cop hatred among black neighborhoods is stop policing them - until they brg for for it.
Amen, and Amen!
There’s plenty of room for you at the table for civilized people, Sheriff. They’re not your ‘people’ any more than white trailer park trash are MY people.
First of all, stop with the “my people” garbage.
You’re either a decent American or not.

Very strong point. They still do not consider themselves part of US. Neither do Mexican and muzzie immigrants, or utopian Marxist-socialist Bernbots.
No. Your own people are Americans and we love you.
Ask the Israelis.
