Day two of the 2016 Republican national convention is in the can. Heres what happened:
Donald Trump was formally nominated by the Republican party to be president of the United States and Mike Pence was nominated to be vice president.
On the convention floor, a member of each state delegation said something good about their state, then announced how its delegates were to be awarded.
Once upon a time, the question was whether Trump could hit 1,237 delegates. In the end he got 1,725. Ted Cruz was second with 475. John Kasich got 120 and Marco Rubio 114.
Award for liveliest floor speech went to Chris Christie, who hid it well if hes sour about not being named running mate. Christie, a former prosecutor, pretended to prosecute Hillary Clinton, and the crowd got to yell guilty! over and over. They also chanted Lock her up!
Donald Trump Jr won praise and applause for a speech that appeared to be undergirded by some conviction about his fathers virtue and industriousness. Tiffany Trump also spoke, with poise.
But it emerged that a couple lines about education in Donald Trump Jrs speech had also appeared in an essay by a Canadian law professor, who it turns out helped write Jrs speech.

Both of their speeches were epic.
MSM is scared to death. ITs a beautiful thing to watch!
I think they all did great and Donald Jr. knocked it out of the park.

Ditto
Mark Shields was losing his mind on PBS. “They actually compared Hillary to Lucifer! This is rhetorical excess of a whole new dimension!
We might be seeing the next political dynasty in the United States. Donald Jr is a great thinker and speaker, so is Eric, and Ivanka is as good, maybe better than them both. And 12 year old Barron never lives his father’s side, already wearing suits around.
Christie was good. Like he was back at his old job.
Dr Carson’s comparison? The Devil is in the details.
Funny thing is that these little “progressive” twits can use google, but do not have enough understanding of the history of civilization, combined with a knowledge and understanding of America’s founding ideas to understand that their way of life is disappearing from the earth if those ideas are not rediscovered soon.
DT Jr. was simply amazing IMO. Just imagine what we could do if we had a House and Senate full of people like him instead of people like Ryan, McConnell and McCain.
Also was very impressed with Carson. Don’t know whose idea it was to tie Hillary to Alinsky but that was a grand slam.
They did not compare Hillary to Lucifer, however, such a comparison would be appropriate.
Christie was fantastic. I was yelling each time he would ask if we found Clinton: Guilty!
Pretty fun.
Christie was having a ball.
Pray America wakes
That is a pleasant dream.
True. Carson only said that Alinksy had dedicated his book Rules for Radicals to Lucifer the King, and that Hillary had written her college thesis on said book. (That thesis is still secret BTW.)
But the such subtleties are lost on the MSM. They are going to push their new false meme as hard as they can: "They compared Hillary to Lucifer!"
I’ve been watching late night talkshows like Colbert and Fallon...lets face it, alot of sheeple get news from these shows. They of course are ridiculing the entire convention. It seems they just don’t “get” the way alot of ordinary people feel about government right now. Its bizzare to watch them yuk it up in their groupthink echochambers. It won’t be pretty when the polls start to turn in Trump’s favor...they’ll need therapy.
This is quite a family, and they are on our side. ;>)
I was yelling (with the crowd), “LOCK HER UP!!”
