It’s way too close to be a coincidence. Especially the part about your “word being your bond”. I’ve never heard anyone else say that.
Should have been much better vetted. Amateur mistakes.
You're kidding, right? I've heard, read and seen that phrase or its equivalent my entire life. I'm 66 years. I've used it for decades before Moochelle came along.
That phrase and similar has been around a very long time:
Melvyn Douglas: Your Word Is Your Bond
The Man, Not The Words
Your wordwhether or not you keep it,
and the frequency with which you can be depended upon to
keep itbecomes who you are in the eyes of other people, and,
just as importantly, it becomes who you are in the eyes of yourself.
Your word is your bond. Your word is your reputation. Your word is your character. Your word is your honor.
~
It is not the oath that makes us believe
the man, but the man the oath.
~ Aeschylus
"Though negotiations are a rough game, you should never allow them to become a dirty game. Once you've agreed to a deal, don't back out of it unless the other party fails to deliver as promised. Your handshake is your bond. As far as I'm concerned, a handshake is worth more than a signed contract. As an entrepreneur, a reputation for integrity is your most valuable commodity. If you try to put something over on someone, it will come back to haunt you."
Victor Kiam
It is also in the Old Testament in one form or other depending on which version you read.
“Ive never heard anyone else say that.”

Really? That is a very common, colloquial phrase used when referring to someone’s integrity. I had someone use that phrase last week in an interview when I asked him to describe himself. I guess that person stole it from our Patrick Ewing look-alike first (ahem) lady.
