WOW! Almost exactly word for word. Oh, wait. Not so much. Generally, conveying the same message. Plagiarism? I think not. Besides, I believe mookies was a pile of horse manure. And, apparently, mookies was pulled from a previous speech years earlier. So, hello kettle. (can I say that?) The libs are really stretching here. But that's what alinskyites do.

Does anyone really think Melania reviewed old Michelle Obama speeches looking for inspiring passages to lift?

Seriously?

It can now be revealed Michelle Obama is actually a Slovenian super model who invented saying your parents were good people. She will make a fortune on royalties and photo shoots.

The popular Biden must have noticed the similarity of phrasing.

Anything to nitpick.

I suppose no future non-Dem speaker will ever be able to say something like “God Bless America” without being accused of plagiarism.

...and the left accuses Trump of being a misogynist??? It appears to me that the TRUE misogynists are Hillary’s employees (the marxist media) and their fellow travelers in the demorat party.

It’s way too close to be a coincidence. Especially the part about your “word being your bond”. I’ve never heard anyone else say that.

Should have been much better vetted. Amateur mistakes.

So my brother in law plagiarized Michelle when he was inducted into his college’s athletic hall of fame? He also stated that he learned the value of hard work from his parents. Good grief-it’s not as though it’s a novel statement.

Large parts of the speeches during resemble each other quite a bit, but this story has no traction beyond a few obscure liberal political news outlets.

Did Melania say that it was the first time she’s been proud of her country? I must have missed that.

After watching the convention last night, and especially Melania, it was really a shock to see video of Hillary this morning. I knocked the coffee off the table panically grabbing for the remote.

Jealousy strikes!

Melania Trump's message was conveyed by an obvious legal immigrant who became an American and was very PROUD of it.

Attacking Donald has NOT worked. There new tactic is to go after Melania.

That won't work either.

Melania is a woman of "likeability". Moochelle likeable?... NOT so much.

Everyone says their parents tell them good things and how to behave. Of course we wouldn’t know ‘cause most of us don’t want to hear anything from Shelly. The Dems are stretching and jealous. Melania was great and NOTHING AT ALL LIKE THE WITCH IN THE WHITE HOUSE. Geez.

This is brilliant, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was intentional. The main stream media now has us comparing Melania to Michelle! I say bring it!

Actually I thought the speech's structure followed very closely to Michelle's. Point for point Melania stated she was the opposite from Michelle. I viewed this as a very good thing.

As for the plagiarism accusation I am not sure. However, if you superimpose one speech over the other and contrast each point, the Trumps come across a lot better.

From a media management standpoint, deliberately inserting a phrase from Mrs Obama would create controversy and hence more attention to the rest of the speech several days later as the stories life cycle progresses and, hence, its positive message).

People may still be talking about it next week. Co-incidence?

My bet would be that this is just another reverse-Alinsky.

I guess I’d make a terrible leftist, because even though I see that part of Melania’s speech was a little too similar to Moochie’s, I remembered that Trump’s wife isn’t running for President. Not even “co-President”, like the witch in 1992 did.

So (to plagiarize somebody else), at this point, what difference does it make?

Mind you, the Democrats would rather forget the current Vice President lost his Presidential bid because he was accused of plagiarizing Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock several decades ago and the very fact the famous I Have A Dream speech given by Martin Luther King, Jr. was actually a newer version of a speech given by another black leader some seven years earlier....

It’s bait. The Trump campaign wants the MSM and Dems to attack Mrs. Trump. Manafort is already going after Hillary for the attacks and blaming her directly. I believe it was planned.

Melania showed what a first lady should and will be...

She left Moochelle in the dust and the MSM is coming to her rescue as they didn’t expect the polished, sincere, non America hating content and delivery...

Why would anyone need to plagiarize their speech? Four score and a bunch of years ago, I had a dream of going to college. ...

First, the team that wrote Melania's speech should have known the media and opposition would scan every sentence.

Second, it is almost impossible to give a general speech about ones' background and life and not 'sound' similar to others' speeches.

Third, the media and opposition needed something to complain about. If not for the speech, it would have been the dress or hair style or length of her fingernails.

The best solution is to weather the media storm and bush it off and get to real business. This is nothing more than the opposition/media attempt to distract, because the presentation on the Benghazi deaths was DEVASTATING!
