Ted Cruz Rewrites Primary History
The Wall Street Journal ^ | July 18, 2016 | Allysia Finley

Posted on 07/18/2016 8:11:00 PM PDT by monkapotamus

Ted Cruz is expected to use his speech Wednesday night in Cleveland to tee up a future presidential bid..

Mr. Cruz blamed his defeat principally on the media, which “liked to paint me as some whacked-out theocrat” and putatively gave Donald Trump $3 billion in free publicity...

Fact check: Mr. Cruz won the Wisconsin primary in early April with the help of the so-called establishment that he loves to hate... in the preceding primaries, Mr. Cruz had gone one for 10..

After winning Wisconsin, Mr. Cruz went on a six-state losing streak in the Northeast...

If his speech on Wednesday is anything less than a full-throated endorsement of Trump, I will contribute 500 dollars to Cruz’s Democrat senate opponent.

Same here - I told his folks that and will send them a copy of the transaction.

Cruz will deliver a great but innocuous speech that advances the Republican platform and is not objectionable to Trump.

Cruz is the most tone deaf loser in the primary, with Kasich and Bush close on his heels.

Funny Cruz story:
A friend was a big shot at Goldman Sachs when Heidi was there. At some point there was a big function in NYC and Heidi and Ted were at his table.

Now the table was filled with these managers that all happened to be Jewish, except for Heidi and Ted.

The first course of the meal arrives and Heidi pipes up with “everyone lets bow are heads and thank the lord Jesus....”

He said it was amazing to everyone how tone deaf and pushy she was about it. He wondered what her reaction would have been if a Muslim demanded something similar from her.

Lyin’ Ted was heralded as a “Master deBater”...and lost every debate.

Lyin’ Ted’s voting record is pure Bushie Establishment...and just as unpatriotic as Lyin’ Ryan and Bitchy McConnell.

As a former Cruz supporter, I completely agree. I can’t hardly stand to listen to the guy anymore, but it’s almost amusing to watch him dig his own political grave.

Going back to work, trying his hardest to destroy the natural born clause I see.

Go away Ted!

The master debater and constitutional lawyer was taught and practiced at the art of persuasion. He excelled at taking a random debate topic or a guilty client and immediately formulating an argument or defense. He was one of the best at his craft, but he mistakenly convinced himself he could use the same technique on the nation.

Canadian Ted aka Lucifer ought to just shut up and be glad that Trump has given him a way back in.

So, if Donald Trump wasn’t running, who would people be supporting?

Not the Canadian liar who thinks he is Elmer Gantry after he started his liberal votes and tricks!

Is Ted Cruz planning to announce that he's leaving the republican party when he steps up to that microphone?

He'll be very happy to have all of that news coverage...endorsement? hahahahaha!

“In four years, Cruz will still be constitutionally ineligible to be president. I hope people will fnally get that through their....”

I sure hope so too. I was shocked to see how many FReepers were perfectly willing to line up behind a candidate that was so clearly NOT a natural born citizen.

There is a spiritual aspect to the delusion that is Raphael Edward Cruz.

(The name “Ted” is a lie)

Daley later claimed he called Ribicoff a “faker” but it looked like he called him something else.”

Yes, now I remember it. LOL

We know a couple of families one in Wisconsin and one in Illinois who still are big Cruz supporters. Even at this point they still believe that Cruz has the best chance of beating Hillary. There are a lot of people still out there just like them. They are often like our friends who fit just about every Cruz supporter stereotype you could think of. They are nice people, but they drank the Kool-Aid and they now choose to live in their own reality and there is nothing that you can say to bring them back. At this point they tacitly want Hillary to win so that they can say “I told you so” and their Messiah can ascend to his rightful throne.

Ted is such an astute political figure. LOL

Who knew predicting wins across the Bible belt and not winning one state there would affect him negatively?

Who knew dismissing a state because there weren't enough Christians there, might create a negative image?

Who knew only winning Caucuses where the GOPe ruled with an iron fist might cause rumblings in Conservative circles?

Who knew chumming it up with a nutjob like Glenn Beck could hurt a candidate? Who knew folks realizing Ted didn't know this would hurt him, might magnify the negative image?

Who knew trying to wrestle away candidates bound to vote for Trump, might cause folks to think Ted was an underhanded Cretan?

Who knew creating the image Ted was going to toss the convention in to complete chaos could be seen negatively?

Who knew Ted making negative comments about the clear winner of the Republican nomination, might reflect negatively on him?

Who knew refusing to say nice things about Trump or endorse him might be see negatively?

Who knew that having been given permission to speak in Trump's winner's circle, and not respecting the process and the man that won it, or talking self up instead of others, might make Cruz look bad?

Cruz now sees himself as a statesman.

I see him as a pathetic out of touch with reality person who is probably the most tone deaf political person I've seen in my lifetime.

Ted's 15 minutes is going on 32 now. It's over Ted.

Save what little grace you can at this point, if not for you, for your wife and kids.

I won’t be watching Ted Cruz speak,

I wouldn't miss this for anything. This is his very last chance to redeem his name and his word from disgrace. It's now or never Teddybear.

I’m perfectly fine with never.

I’d rather do anything else than watch Ted Cruz do anything at all.
