The most encouraging part of this is "Erdogan, speaking from an unknown location."

Erdogan = ISIS

So I guess anything is better than him.

Maybe they’ll be a huge civil war and they’ll all kill themselves off.

Throughout history those who make coups have been unsuccessful

Wishful lying on the part of Erdogan here. Historically, as many coups have succeeded as have failed. I am praying for the Turkish military. Erdogan is a real islamist skunk.

King Barack is not going to approve of this!

- Tyrannical militant muslim comes into power.
- Begins to Fundamentally Transform the nation.
- Military ousts the tyrant!

Imagine that!

Maybe our military could learn something from the Turks.

Turkey is just another Pakistan, but in Europe, in every way: from Sunni/wahabis to being our “close ally”, heaped with all the aid we can give. Coups and military control has always been part of Turkey. The West - NATO - simply don’t want to believe it.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking by cell phone to CNN Turk from an unknown location, vowed that Turkey would “overcome this invasion” ....

and called on Turks to “gather in squares and see what this minority can do with their tanks and artillery against the people.”

Easy to talk big from an undisclosed location

Good news. Better news if Erdogan was found floating face down somewhere in the Bosporous.

I have a friend from Turkey, on a business trip to Germany, who has sent photos of people in the streets , standing on tanks, arm raised, hand in a fist. I don’t know how to interpret it, are they pro or against the military. Unfortunately he writes in Turkish which I don’t understand.

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk; (19 May 1881 - 10 November 1938) was a Turkish army officer, reformist statesman, and the first President of Turkey. He is credited with being the founder of the Republic of Turkey. His surname, Ataturk (meaning “Father of the Turks”), was granted to him in 1934 and forbidden to any other person by the Turkish parliament.

Ataturk was a military officer during World War I. Following the defeat of the Ottoman Empire in World War I, he led the Turkish National Movement in the Turkish War of Independence. Having established a provisional government in Ankara, he defeated the forces sent by the Allies. His military campaigns led to victory in the Turkish War of Independence. Ataturk then embarked upon a program of political, economic, and cultural reforms, seeking to transform the former Ottoman Empire into a modern, secular, and democratic nation-state. Under his leadership, thousands of new schools were built, primary education was made free and compulsory, and women were given equal civil and political rights, while the burden of taxation on peasants was reduced. The principles of Ataturk’s reforms, upon which modern Turkey was established, are referred to as Kemalism.

Erdogan has been chipping away at the Turkey Ataturk founded. Women are “encouraged” to cover their heads and abandon secular dress. He wants another Iran with Muslim restraints on the population. The military wants none of it.
I support the Military in this coup. Erdogan must go.

Erdogan is probably wishing he had not shot down that Russian plane, and that his son had not sold all that ISIS oil production for those islamist beheaders.

He chose poorly.
