Well stated.
Much better might be an understatement!
Being denied landing rights is not a good sign. Maybe our military should take a hint.
“But nothing happens to the hornets nest Saudi Arabia.”
I studied Saudi Arabia for my MBA with the intention of getting a job there with my employer. SA is under very tight control by a secret police force. The military is run by the royal family like a palace guard.
My feeling is SA will be one of the last old line Islamic governments to fall. But when they do it will be a blood bath. Their downfall will come when they can no longer bribe their citizens with payoff money. They are rapidly running out of money as they are still pumping oil at low prices and flooding the market. This is most likely an attempt to limit how much Iran can make on the sale of Iranian oil. But it’s a cut off your own nose sort of policy and it is failing.
The real bad actor in the neighborhood, though is Iran. But that’s like saying Al Capone is worse than Meyer Lansky.
Bada Bing!

Patience.....
Let this be a lesson to you, Erdogan.
Next time fire all your military leaders and replace them with women, homosexuals and transsexuals.
A rookie mistake.
_________
Same thing Obama did.
Of Course Claims and Truth are two different things.
I wonder how this will unfold :P
Looks like Erdogan missed a few generals when he was doing his purge. Hopefully Obama missed a few, too.
Put islamist Hussein on the No Fly List.
Saudi Arabia is not a hornets nest except in the minds of some Freepers
Senior US military source tells NBC News that Erdogan, refused landing rights in Istanbul, is reported to be seeking asylum in Germany. https://twitter.com/kylegriffin1/status/754064655270547456?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet
Turkish Coup Rumor: “Fethullah Gulen” is behind the coup who has VERY CLOSE TIES to the Clinton Foundation
Relatively well orchestrated coup - EU source

A European Union source tells the Reuters news agency: “It looks like a relatively well orchestrated coup by a substantial body of the military, not just a few colonels.” “They control several strategic points in Istanbul. Given the scale of the operation, it is difficult to imagine they will stop short of prevailing,” the source adds.
Erdogan is asking the people to go into the streets. And he’s doing it from a webcam. Doesn’t sound to me like he’s got many resources left. I hope he hangs.
It looks like they may have missed a few? If it's a coup in a positive direction then maybe we might find out just what Obama & Clinton have actually been up to.
That’s just wonderful!
However this coup / coup attempt works out, it reminds me of one of our ‘illustrious’ President’s early efforts at foreign policy. Seeking to capitalize upon his election, Nobel Peace Prize and the probable affinity draw of his name, he gave a speech at Cairo University (June 2009) where he sought to have a restart of relations between the Islamic World and the United States.
I wonder, now that it has been 7 years, how he and his audience feel about relations then versus now. An ‘Arab Spring’ that has turned solidly negative. A moderate movement (Green Revolution) in Iran ignored for an outreach to the theocracy. A multiparty semi-functional Iraq devolved into ISIS and slaughter between Sunni & Shia. Much the same in Yemen, Sudan and other places of Dar al Islam. Syria and Libya become hapless failed states with refugees streaming across the Med to destabilize Europe.
Gee, I wonder who remembers the fabled Obama “Hope and Change” and the feckless waste engendered by this snake-oil specialist!
teamobama must ve livid right now.
But Erdogan was 0bama’s buddy, right? Didn’t Josh Ernest say so?
Has Morsi been executed yet?

Obama has replaced all the military leadership in this country that would consider that to be an option.
0bama and Hillary’s foreign policy over the last 7 years has been a disaster. From lives lost, to lost allies.
The scary part is that we haven’t seen nothing yet.
