A coup against Erdogan? We can only hope.
The Turkisk Constitution has clause that allows the military to overthrow the government if it it going back toward a Caliphate, or so I have been told.
A Turkish friend of mine told me the Military will tolerate the move towards a more religious state for only so long. Erdogan may have pushed to hard. This is potentially very good news. The Turkish military wants the 21st Century and not the 6th.
My first reflex to until I consider the timing. NATO did not appreciate Erdogan’s rapprochement with Syria and Russia which might have ended the Syrian war early.
