Yeah, I recall Lee, Rubio, & Cruz riding the Tea Party wave at the beginning. Lee seemed strong. It sounds like DC got to them. I imagine it takes more than most folks have to resist it.

I liked him too, I remember sitting in the car listening to him being interviewed a few years back. Found him very well spoken and seemingly intelligent.
My guess, the moron part over took the common sense.
You’re not alone. Like you he impressed here as well when he first appeared on radar. Just as Cruz, Chaffetz, Gowdy. impressed. Strange how fast the tarnish appears after being in the spot light a few months.

I bet you he gives a Chris Christie speech, like he did for Romney. He will talk about himself, and mention Trump as little as possible, infact, I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t mention him by name at all.
