I have friends who work downtown. They are all taking their vacations during the convention.

this is the wrong place and wrong time for it.

I disagree wholeheartedly. This is the PERFECT opportunity to utterly demolish the left's argument that guns = violence!

60K people any number of whom *might* be armed and ALL of them peaceful and law-abiding will completely pull the rug out of their gun confiscation agenda.

This IS a hill to die on.

Sure, there *might* be an idiot or two there, but that's the beauty of it, y'see. Doofus does a stupid, and the 300 folks surrounding him remove the threat. Quickly, peacefully and effectively.

In the larger area outside the event, guns will be permitted in accordance with Ohio state law, but other items — including knives, paintball guns, and umbrellas with sharp tips, will be prohibited, officials said.

Time for knife law reform.

Does Ohio observe reciprocal carry from other states?

Yes, they do.

I predict blm will shoot at police first forcing a response in kind. There will be blood from both sides and the state run media will trumpet the blm line the cops fired first.

This is nothing more than a Democrat attempt to gin up black turnout for Hillihag to the same levels Obama got in 08-12. They are perfectly content to see blacks and cops die to get the election results they desire.
