I don’t know who lost out to Cleveland for the privilege of hosting the Republican convention but right about now they are probably thanking their lucky stars.

It will be interesting to see which group has members jailed first. Bikers for Trump or Black lives Matter.
My guess is, Bikers for Trump since they are not a protected species.
Love our Veteran bikers! My cousin started running with a number of them in the late ‘60s and I have met a lot of salt of the earth bikers over the years - many Vietnam vets who kept their sense of patriotism despite the way the government and many of the People opted to spit on them instead of honoring their service. They tend to be peace-loving men and woman who aren’t afraid to stand up to anyone who need standing up to....I wouldn’t want to be on the other side if SHTF........

Based on the reports on TV, a lot of the city will be cut off. Many of the best restaurants will be closed, rented out to private entities. They (all levels of security, the private sector) seem to be adapting with more restrictions than previously planned.
Both outside the Convention, and inside!

You could be right, because the crazies in ‘68 didn’t have flash mob social media. But it seemed strange to me (I was overseas) that the violence was far worse at the Democrat convention than at the Republican one.
There were no patriot biker groups then, either. And the lefty radicals were kept out of the Dem convention hall, all the violence was outside. Disgruntled BerniBots will be f**ting indoors and worse, as they will be credentialed.
