Healing After Dallas, Without Obama

Healing After Dallas, Without Obama When the president repeatedly assumes the worst about police, he sends a dangerous message.

By Jason L. Riley July 11, 2016 7:06 p.m. ET

President Obama is scheduled to speak in Dallas Tuesday at a memorial service for the five police officers gunned down last week—but haven’t we already heard enough from him?

Mr. Obama’s initial response to the shootings was more of the same: equivocation mixed with an attempt to change the subject. He said there is no possible justification for violence against law enforcement, but then added a line about racial disparities in the criminal-justice system and finished with a nod to more gun control. “When people are armed with powerful weapons,” said the president, “it unfortunately makes attacks like these more deadly.”

Time and again during his presidency, in matters large and small, Mr. Obama has assumed the worst about police. Officers in Massachusetts, he told us months into his first term, “acted stupidly” when they responded to a 911 call about a possible burglary and arrested the black suspect for disorderly conduct. The 2014 police shooting of Michael Brown, who attacked a cop after robbing a store in Ferguson, Mo., led to a Justice Department report criticizing the racial makeup of Ferguson’s police department and municipal workers, and concluding, without any evidence, that it is “critically important” for law enforcement “to strive for broad diversity among officers and civilian staff.”

There are some bad cops and they need to be rooted out. But it’s a local matter NOT obama’s business as lotus — liar of the u s. (Maybe if we don’t successfully imprison him as an enemy infiltrator, he might wish to run for Chicago alderman and work to assure that at least one local p d is clean)

Aahhhh, but Obama's goal is to replace local police with a National Police force.

Yes. Storm troopers Obammy’s chief behind the scenes funders (Nazi soros and Islamonazi dictatorships) are pulling all his strings to try to get SS installed to control the American people. So they think anyway. Ha ha. All anyone has to do is study the Nazi playbook to understand Obama and Hillary and company. With Obama, just add a strong dose of Sharjah to the recipe

Mark Cuban has helped, good for him

Mavs owner Mark Cuban donates $1 million to support Dallas Police Department

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban today informed Mayor Mike Rawlings that he will donate $1 million in support of the Dallas Police Department’s response to the Orlando nightclub shooting. Rawlings announced the donation during the Dallas Pride Month Spirit of Equality Awards Ceremony today at City Hall.

The money will be earmarked for an estimated 16,000 hours of Dallas police overtime to be used at Chief David Brown’s discretion for enhanced counter-terrorism efforts, including additional police presence in the Oak Lawn area.

“Once again, Mark has demonstrated his devotion to his city by stepping up in a time of need,” Rawlings said. “In the wake of national tragedies, we often hear empty talk from politicians and other influencers. With this pledge, Mark shows he is a man of action who cares deeply about his fellow Dallasites,” he said.

Cuban’s donation comes days after a gunman killed 49 people inside the Pulse nightclub on Sunday morning. Also on Sunday, a man arrested in Santa Monica armed with guns and explosive chemicals was said to be on his way to the Los Angeles Pride festival.

Police in major cities across the country are beefing up security, particularly in the LGBT community, in response to the Orlando attack.

“The Dallas Police Department thanks Mark Cuban,” said Chief Brown. “These funds will be used primarily to protect the LGBT community. We will earmark and track the expenditure of these funds to ensure its effective use in creating a safe environment.”

Obama helps the cop killers, not the cops. Yes, Obama stop "helping"

I see what you mean.

I’m sure lots will be spent to improve the DPD and protect others besides homosexuals.

Cuban got a twofer, showed his support for SSADS victims and money to DPD
