Why is Allen West not being considered? Maybe it’s Alan West either way he is from the military, Congress, and he is extremely measured, soft spoken and highly intelligent.

Maybe Allen West will run for Senator (TX).
Laura would be a great press secretary - IMHO female version of Tony Snow (who was super - BTW today is the 8th anniversary of his passing).
For a real hoot - how about Diamond and Silver for press secretary(s) ;-)
